Energy Efficient Windows
Replacement windows that actually seal against the Valley sun
Single-pane aluminum windows are still in thousands of Valley homes, and they are the weakest thermal point in the house: hot to the touch in August, drafty in January, and loud all year.
Dual-pane units with low-emissivity coatings cut the radiant heat that comes through the glass. But the performance number on the sticker only holds if the opening is prepared and flashed correctly — that part is installation, not product.
Typical timeline
Installation is typically one to three days once the windows arrive; the wait is manufacturing, usually several weeks for custom sizes. We confirm lead times before you order.

What's included
The scope, in plain terms
Measurement and product selection
Field-measured openings and frame options — vinyl, fiberglass or aluminum — chosen for the opening rather than whatever is on the shelf.
Retrofit and full-frame installation
Retrofit inserts where the existing frame is sound, and full tear-out to the stud when it isn't, including any framing repair we find.
Flashing and weatherproofing
Sill pans, flashing tape lapped in the right order, foam sealing and exterior sealant so wind-driven rain has nowhere to go.
Patio and sliding doors
Sliding and multi-panel door replacement, threshold and track detailing, and hardware that still rolls in five years.
Low-E glass options
Low-emissivity coatings, argon fill and glass packages suited to the elevation each window sits on.
Interior and exterior finish
Stucco patching, trim, casing and paint so the new unit looks original to the wall.
Questions
What homeowners ask about energy efficient windows
Retrofit or full-frame replacement?+
Retrofit is faster and cheaper and works when the existing frame is straight and dry. If there's water damage or the frame is out of square, full-frame is the only honest option.
Will new windows lower my energy bills?+
They reduce heat gain through the glass, which helps most on west-facing rooms. How much you save depends on your insulation, roof and HVAC too, so we won't quote you a savings percentage we can't stand behind.
Is a permit required?+
Usually yes for window replacement, and always when the opening size changes. We handle the permit and inspection.
We work in Woodland Hills, Calabasas, Tarzana, Encino, Sherman Oaks, Studio City and the surrounding communities. See the full service area.
