Water Saver Toilets

Water Saver Toilets

High-efficiency toilet replacement done right at the flange

Older toilets use several times the water of a current high-efficiency model on every flush, and a toilet that runs between flushes wastes more than all of them combined.

Replacement sounds simple, and it is — until the closet flange is corroded, the floor under it is soft, or the shutoff valve won't close. Those are the three things we check first.

Typical timeline

A straightforward swap takes one to two hours per fixture. Flange repair or floor damage adds time, and we tell you before we proceed, not after.

What's included

The scope, in plain terms

Fixture selection

High-efficiency single-flush and dual-flush models, comfort-height options, elongated or round bowls sized to the space available.

Removal and inspection

Removing the old fixture and inspecting the flange, subfloor and drain for corrosion, rot and previous leaks.

Flange and seal work

Repairing or replacing the closet flange, setting on a new wax or waxless seal, and shimming so the fixture sits solid on the floor.

Supply and shutoff

New angle stop and braided supply line — the parts most likely to fail on a twenty-year-old installation.

Multiple-fixture swaps

Whole-house replacements handled in one visit so every bathroom is back in service the same day.

Wall-hung and in-wall tanks

Wall-mounted fixtures with concealed carriers and tanks where the bathroom design calls for them.

Questions

What homeowners ask about water saver toilets

Do low-flow toilets clog more?+

Current high-efficiency models perform very differently from the first generation of low-flow fixtures from the 1990s. Bowl and trapway design matter more than gallons per flush.

How do I know my toilet is leaking?+

A tank that refills on its own, a faint hiss, or movement when you sit down. Any of the three is worth looking at — silent leaks show up on the water bill, not the floor.

Are there rebates for water-saving fixtures?+

Local water agencies have offered rebate programs at various times, but availability and amounts change. Check with your water provider for what's current before you count on one.
